⚙️ Game Mechanics
A reference for how core game systems work in Grow A Garden 2.
Crop Pricing
The sell price of a crop uses the following formula:
- SellValue: A fixed base number unique to each crop type.
- Size: The size multiplier of the fully grown fruit. Weight (kg) = BaseWeight × Size.
- Exponent: 2.65 by default. Overridden for Mushroom (1.9) and Bamboo (1.75) — these crops scale less dramatically at large sizes.
- MutationMultiplier: The price multiplier from the fruit's mutation (1 if no mutation). Single-harvest crops have a reduced effective multiplier:
1 + (raw − 1) × 0.25 - DecayPenalty:
1 − clamp(decayFraction, 0, 1) × 0.8— decayed crops lose up to 80% of value. - FriendsBonus:
1 + Friends × 0.1— each friend in the same server adds +10%, up to +40%.
⚠️ The Value Calculator uses a simplified estimation. Actual in-game values may differ based on exact Size and BaseWeight per crop.
Fruit Decay
Crops left unharvested on the plot will decay over time, losing 80% of their sell value. Decayed crops also change color as a visual indicator.
- Sell crops promptly — especially high-value mutated fruit — to avoid value loss.
- Watering a decayed crop will restore its value, color, and all connected fruit.
- Fruit in your inventory does not decay; decay only occurs to world-placed crops.
Plot Expansion
Players can expand their plot 5 times, each expansion adding two new planting fields. Costs increase with each tier:
| Expansion | Cost |

| 3rd | 1,000,000 ¢ |
| 4th | 4,000,000 ¢ |
| 5th | 10,000,000 ¢ |

|---|---|
| 1st slot upgrade | 200,000 ¢ |
| 2nd slot upgrade | 1,000,000 ¢ |
| 3rd slot upgrade | 5,000,000 ¢ |
Dropping & Gifting

- Seeds, Crops, Gears, Pets, Seed Packs, Crates
Players can also gift items via the Mailbox or by standing next to a player. Plants, Seeds, Gears, and Pets can be dropped or gifted; Props can only be mailed. Mailing is free.
- Rare+ pets cannot be gifted or mailed, but can still be dropped.
- If a player's mailbox is full, sent items are returned and the sender is notified.
